Help us get your health care stories heard!

This blog was originated by ordinary folks -- somewhat political junkies – who have been emailing articles and opinions back and forth on current issues, including on health care. Some of us support a single payer health care system, some don't. But we all share a passionate support of health care for everyone. We can’t believe the lack of courage on the Democrats’ side and the fact Republicans are opposing actual care. Yeah, the same Republicans whose constituents don’t have health care, the same Republicans who have health insurance, who use a public health care institution for their health care. (McConnell’s (R-Ky) 2003 operation at Bethesda; McCain’s (R-Ariz) 2000 surgery at Bethesda; Kit Bond’s (R-Mo.) 2003 operation Bethesda; George Voinovich’s (R-Ohio) 2003 oepration at Betheda, etc)

We got sick (no pun intended) of having our collectively blood pressure rise and we helplessly watched the debate from the side lines.

So we are taking steps. Give us your health care horror stories. Blog your demand for health reform – real heath care reform now. Let’s send it all to Congress and give them some ammunition to gets some guts and pass real reform.

We keep you abreast of interesting articles. We’ll get your message to congress. All we need you to do is tell us your stories.

Let’s take the bull by the horns and demand health care reform now. It will only take a minute!

  1. The following articles make clear that the US has the highest health care cost in the world. We pay more per person, and health care consumes a greater part of our GDP. Those that argue that we don't need to change the health care system in this country need to look at these numbers and think about what our higher costs are going to mean, not only to us as individuals, but to our businesses trying to compete on the world stage.

The above article is about the high inflation we have had in Health care the last 3 years. 13 percent inflation in 2006, and 2007. Only 5 percent inflation in 2008. Of course that is the year the economy tanked.

The article says that the average cost for a family of 4 with company insurance is now $13,300.00. It of course goes on and talks about the obvious effect of more and more people being dropped from coverage.
